Players in the population are divided into non-overlapped groups, and they can choose to either cooperate or defect within their group. At the same time, the players are mapped to the nodes of a scale-free network, enabling them to learn from the actions of players from other groups. Every player is allowed to migrate between groups, and their migration decisions are governed by the risk from climate change at the current group, as well as their ability to adapt. We introduce a cooperation threshold to ensure that a minimum percentage of players cooperate before any benefit can be achieved within a group. Comprehensive simulation experiments show that migration has a positive impact on the level of cooperation, and the cooperative behaviour observed is proportional to the threshold level. This study contributes by being one of the first to study climate change induced migration using evolutionary game theory. Our findings also contribute to the understanding of the impact of cooperation thresholds in promoting cooperative behaviour in multi-player social dilemma games, where players are allowed to migrate.]]> Tue 08 Feb 2022 12:24:25 AEDT ]]> Combining Sentiment Lexicons and Content-Based Features for Depression Detection https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:39830 Thu 28 Jul 2022 08:36:02 AEST ]]> Multi-level particle swarm optimisation and its parallel version for parameter optimisation of ensemble models: a case of sentiment polarity prediction https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:40969 Thu 21 Jul 2022 08:45:26 AEST ]]> Understanding the social dilemma of sustainability using agent-based modelling and evolutionary game theory https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:55666 Thu 13 Jun 2024 13:19:00 AEST ]]> Investigating bound handling schemes and parameter settings for the interior search algorithm to solve truss problems https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48864 Thu 13 Apr 2023 12:55:08 AEST ]]> A PSO-based ensemble model for peer-to-peer credit scoring https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:42943 Thu 08 Sep 2022 09:14:20 AEST ]]> A dynamic constraint representation approach based on cross-domain dictionary learning for expression recognition https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:50590 Sun 30 Jul 2023 15:15:54 AEST ]]> Multiobjective Optimization of Energy-Efficient JOB-Shop Scheduling with Dynamic Reference Point-Based Fuzzy Relative Entropy https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44541 Mon 29 Jan 2024 18:35:08 AEDT ]]> Using evolutionary game theory to study behavioral strategies of the government and carriers under different transshipment modes https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44141 Mon 29 Jan 2024 17:44:13 AEDT ]]> A two-stage structural equation modeling-neural network approach for understanding and predicting the determinants of m-government service adoption https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:45498 Mon 28 Nov 2022 17:01:31 AEDT ]]> A Novel Ensemble Learning Approach for Stock Market Prediction Based on Sentiment Analysis and the Sliding Window Method https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44832 Mon 24 Oct 2022 09:52:57 AEDT ]]> A Fuzzy-Based Ensemble Model for Improving Malicious Web Domain Identification https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:50391 Mon 24 Jul 2023 14:40:29 AEST ]]> A textual-based featuring approach for depression detection using machine learning classifiers and social media texts https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:40123 Mon 08 Aug 2022 11:55:24 AEST ]]> Evolution of trust in the sharing economy with fixed provider and consumer roles under different host network structures https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:47442 Fri 20 Jan 2023 12:58:36 AEDT ]]> Multi-PSO based classifier selection and parameter optimisation for sentiment polarity prediction https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:35315 Fri 12 Jul 2019 12:48:18 AEST ]]> Agent-based modeling of migration dynamics in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam: automated calibration using a genetic algorithm https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:35665 Fri 04 Oct 2019 13:45:00 AEST ]]>
